Overview

Located in the North Chungcheong Province, the city of Jecheon is well known for its beautiful mountains and lake environments. Ride the monorail car to the top of the famous mountain, see the must-see rock, and experience walking on the skywalk.

Description

Cheongpung Lake Monorail has been operating for people to explore the beauty of this natural environment. The monorail cars, each able to accommodate up to 6 passengers at a time, will drive along the rails and up to the top of the famous Bibongsan Mountain (531m), providing its riders with beautiful nature in the midst of lush forests, as well as beautiful views of the lake during the ascent. Offering its fair amount of shrill and good sightseeing, the monorail round trip takes about 50 minutes for 3 kilometers.

After lunch (own expense), we will explore the famous eight scenery. Dodamsambong peaks are three rock islets rising out of the Namhangang River, in the midst of the currents. It is said to represent an angry wife (right side rock) turning away from her husband (big rock), who has taken a concubine (left side rock) to secure a male heir. There is a hexagonal pavilion on the main rock.

The city next to Jecheon is Danyang, which is considered North Chungcheong’s top attraction. You will have a chance to walk on the famous skywalk. The Mancheonha skywalk became a must-see attraction in Danyang since it was opened in July 2017. Visitors can ride the Mancheonha zip line (own expense) in there.
