Overview
Do you know that Bukhansan Mountain Tour is one of the best 5 tours in Seoul? This tour requires some physical strength and energy, but will offer you splendid satisfaction. Challenge yourself!
Description
Mt. Bukhansan is designated as the 15th national park in South Korea with about 700,000 visitors per year. It is even listed in the Guinness Book to commemorate the largest number of hikers for a unit area.
This national park houses 1,300 species of flora and fauna. During your hike, you will get the chance to hear birds chirping and observe squirrels climbing up the tall trees. In the stream, you might even find minnows that only live in 1st-level clean water.
The mountain has 23 main peaks, one of which we will climb. This peak, Samo-bawi Rock, is 540 meters high and takes 3-4 hours to climb for a 6-kilometer round trip. It is not a piece of cake, but it is not too hard either. During the hike, if you feel a little bit too tired or heat up, our guide will find a resting place where you can enjoy the cool wind from the valleys.
We will cross a few cute bridges over the brook, mostly step up on mud and hard stones, and sometimes clamber up and down on rocks. Around two-thirds of the hike, we have the option to go to Seung-ga-sa, a Buddhist temple with a one-millennium-long history. It is perched on the hills of the mountain with two national treasures and a gorgeous pagoda. Built to honor the achievements of the Great Monk Seunggadaesa, a Savering Buddha, this temple also offers a beautiful view of the blue sky of Seoul City. After having (as the legend says) life-saving water and free lunch (if you want) at the temple, we will approach the highlight of the hike.
After a hard climb, you will be rewarded with a fantastic panorama of deep green mountains and indigo sky. At the top of the peak is Samo-bawi or Silk Hat Rock (a court official’s formal hat during the Joseon dynasty).
For lunch (own expense), we recommended a hot tofu stew and vegetarian side dishes at a traditional restaurant at the foot of the mountain. You definitely deserve to be proud to have completed this beautiful but challenging mountain tour.

Bukhansan is a bit rocky for older age people but the view is fantastic. The tour guide Brian is very helpful and accommodative to a group of aged ladies like us . As for the spa ,it’s interesting for people like us but feel a bit embarrass to be naked and walk round the hall to the spa pools which is located in another floor. Spa itself only provide bar soap and if anyone need to shampoo their hair I advise bring along your shampoo , conditioner and probably your own shower gel.

This was an AMAZING tour! Brian our tour guide was so nice and so helpful that it made our day go by faster. The hike was such a beautiful experience that I did not really feel how tired i actually was. We took breaks when we needed to and Brian was so kind to share his own experiences and stories. He picked us up on time and made us feel right at home. He then took us to lunch which was right down the mountain and boy oh boy did it hit the spot. Brian then took us to the sauna where my husband and i were able to enjoy the way their country relaxes; it was awesome. We will do this again next time and by the time we come back, Brian said he would be fluent in his spanish skills 😀 which we have no doubt he will be.

We had one day mountain hiking with our tour guide Jay. He spoke English very well and was puntual, friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond the call of duty to help me to carry my heavy bag up and down the hiking trail. We really enjoy our trip. The view was brilliant, traditional Korean lunch was delicious and Korean sauna at the end of the tour was a unite experience.
I highly recommend visiting Seoul and booking a private hiking tour with Jay Inn.
Thank you for a wonderful services and experience you gave us

Bukhansan gave us a really good workout as we had expected a usual hike but it turned out to be quite adventurous fun clambering over granite rocks! Our wonderful and funny guide Jay did a great job rallying us up the mountain. Jay speaks perfect English but we had loads of laughs with him over our limited range of Korean vocabulary learnt from K-dramas as well as exchanging the latest notes on Korean celebrities.

As part of a 5 day visit to Seoul my wife and I were looking for an activity that took us out of the city for a while and experience the outdoors of Korea a bit more. We discovered the one day Korea tours and the 1 day Bukahansan mountain hike and dragon hill spa visit looked perfect.

We had a wonderful time, and our guide Brian was so helpful and accommodating. The hike was so nice and good path and view spectacular. Korean lunch and spa afterwards were also a nice touch. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Mr Kim Sangsik was our guide and did a great job leading us to the top of the mountain! The day was filled with beautiful scenery, fording streams, an ancient Buddhist Temple, and lots of exercise. Would definitely recommend this trip and Mr Kim.

I had booked a private day tour for a hike up to Bukhansan Mountain and Korean Sauna for my husband and I through Viator.com. Our tour guide Justin met us at our hotel and we went from there. Justin was very knowledgeable about the mountain itself and also told us about the history of all the famous landmarks we saw that day. The hike was just perfect for us – not too easy but not too strenuous. The views were beautiful at the top and seeing the wildlife along the way made it even more fun. We had a delicious lunch at the restaurant at the base of the mountain, then we headed straight for the Dragon Hill Sauna, where we spent a good two hours relaxing and rejuvenating from our hike.

Benny was great, he is very helpful tour guide.
Picked us up from the hotel to the Bukhansan Mountain Hiking.
Though, hiking in winter might not be what most people choose to do,
most of the time Benny would try to make sure we have a great time and we did.

Benny is an excellent guide. Punctual, courteous and very helpful guiding us up and down the mountain. We had lunch and had a great time chatting the whole time. He has an easy temperament and made us feel so comfortable. Thank you Benny for taking such good care of us!

We were quite lucky to have booked with One day korea as they were constantly helpful in our queries as well as being flexible in timing changes and adapting to situations that arose. My friend and I had Bryan as our guide and he was punctual, funny, smart and engaging throughout the trip. He was knowledgeable in the local customs as well as giving us tips on how we can help ourselves during the rest of the trip. He walked with us to one of the summits of bukhansan and it was a really fun journey with bryan, his colleague and my friend.

We took the the one day tour where we hiked at bukhansan. Bryan our tour guide is extremely friendly and can converse in English well. He walked the entire length with us and he had wealth of information that he loved sharing.
