Overview
Have you heard the term Hallyu? However, this doesn’t mean only the enthusiasm for K-pop and K-drama but also the Korean people’s lifestyle, which maintains their health and fitness: what and how they eat and drink, how they get re-energized from physical and mental fatigue.
Description
By dropping by K-style Hub, you can peep into various kinds of Korean Foods, which are cooked with seasonal ingredients, especially fermented food represented by kimchi and the other 3 main sauces of doenjang, gochujang, and ganjang (soybean paste, chili-pepper paste, and soy sauce). You can also join in making kimchi and other dishes and snacks (optional). In addition, at the Tour Information and Hallyu Experience Center, look for some general and medical tour information about Korea, get discount coupons for venue entrance and performance, and get a view of the landscape and landmarks in Seoul and Korea through VR. Besides, you will try on a Hanbok (traditional custom) and handcraft yourself, such as making a folding fan by hand. Can have some time to purchase some souvenirs.
After visiting K-style Hub, we will take a walk in Gwangjang Market, this market is the nation’s first market with over 110 years of history, as well as one of the largest traditional markets in Korea. It is located in the heart of Seoul. Up until the late 1800s, Korean markets operated as temporary markets, which means they only opened for a few days at a time. Gwangjang Market came to be the first permanently established market that was open every day in 1905. It was built with the purpose of reclaiming Korean sovereignty during the period of Japanese occupation.
Today, it continues to prosper as a popular tourist spot and is famous for its street food, such as mayak gimbap (also known as drug kimbap because its taste is good and addictive), tteokbokki (spicy rice cake), bindaetteuk (mug-bean pancake), Sundae (stuffed pig/cow’s intestines), and many more.
Now we can go and experience the ways of Korean people to drive away fatigue and stress at the Seoul K-Medi Center. We can relieve stress by means of foot-bathing in a water tank containing medical materials and lying and resting on a massage bed. Otherwise, we have the time to hand-craft K-medi air freshener and soap with organic herbs. As an optional, free service, we can consult a K-Medical doctor. Have your body condition checked, learn some information about your physical constitution and body features, and also get acupuncture & Chuna (Manual Therapy) treatments. Especially when you feel tired from a long travel, and general pain in the neck and back, you would be better off utilizing this valuable chance.
After finishing Korean therapeutic and medical treatment, we can enjoy ourselves by going to buy some fresh produce and ginseng. Visit Cheong-ryang-ri Fresh Produce Market and look around, and purchase fresh produce such as fruits, vegetables, and other groceries. Visit Gyeong-dong Ginseng and Herb Market and can get ginseng (energizing and anti-cancer material), organic, healthful herbs, and dried fruits such as nuts.
