* The tour duration is adjusted depending on your flight time.
You have a layover at Incheon Airport, and you are wondering whether you can see Seoul.
You can. This private Seoul layover tour is one of our most popular tours, and the itinerary changes depending on how much time you actually have between flights. Send us your flight details and we will tell you honestly what fits.
Before your arrival, we contact you by WhatsApp or email to confirm your flight numbers and plan the timing around your schedule.
Incheon Airport has two terminals, and which one you arrive at depends on your airline. Once we have your flight details, we confirm the exact meeting point in advance. Your guide waits at the arrival gate holding a OneDay Korea sign, so there is nothing to search for after you land. From the airport, it is about a 1-hour drive into central Seoul.
Luggage stays with you in our private vehicle throughout the day. For groups of 7 or more, we recommend using the airport luggage storage service, and your guide can help arrange this before departure.
At the end of the tour, we return you to the terminal you depart from, with time to check in for your connecting flight. We also pick up from the Incheon cruise terminal for passengers on shore excursions.
Under 5 hours — We do not recommend a Seoul tour. Immigration, the round-trip transfer, and check-in leave almost no time in the city.
5 to 7 hours — Possible, but tight. We can focus on one or two sites close to the city center. Contact us with your flight times and we will tell you what is realistic.
8 to 9 hours — Our standard Seoul layover tour. Enough time for Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, lunch, and one more stop.
10 hours or more — A full day in Seoul, with room to add N Seoul Tower, Gwangjang Market, or a destination of your choice.
We would rather tell you a shorter tour makes sense than send you on a rushed one. Guests with a 12-hour layover often end up choosing a 6-hour tour once we account for transfers, and they leave happier for it.
| 09:00 | Meet your guide at the arrival gate |

Times are adjusted to your actual flight schedule. The Royal Guard Changing Ceremony and Gyeongbokgung Palace are closed on Tuesdays — we visit Changdeokgung Palace instead.
Our tour guide meets you at Incheon Airport first. After a 1-hour drive, we arrive in Seoul, a city of modern and traditional culture side by side. We start with the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony in front of the palace. During the Joseon Dynasty, royal guards protected Gwanghwamun Gate, the entrance of Gyeongbokgung Palace, where the king ruled the country. The ceremony has been recorded since 1469, and that record guided the modern reenactment, which began in 1996. Guardsmen in traditional costume perform the changing of guards at the main gate every day except Tuesday, and it stops passersby in their tracks. After the 20-minute ceremony, we go on to the palace itself. Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung is known as the “Northern Palace” because it sits furthest north among the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeonghuigung (Western Palace). It is the largest of Seoul’s five palaces, with Gyeonghoeru and Hyangwonjeong Pavilions both set on ponds.
Bukchon sits between two Joseon Dynasty palaces, Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung, near Jongmyo Shrine. Unlike other hanok villages, Bukchon was not created for tourists — it is a living neighborhood where Seoulites still live. Hundreds of traditional houses date back to the Joseon dynasty, and many now operate as cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants, and tea houses.
You can have lunch at a restaurant or a local market, or skip lunch and spend the time in Insa-dong instead. In the heart of the city, Insa-dong is where traditional goods are sold and displayed. One main road runs through it, with alleys on each side holding galleries, traditional restaurants, tea houses, and cafes.
Jogyesa Temple is the center of Zen Buddhism in Korea and unusual for sitting in the middle of the city. The first thing you notice is the trees — locust and baeksong, around 500 years old. The main hall was built in 1938 and is painted in vivid colors, with a statue of Seokgamoni inside.
Not everyone wants to spend a layover in Seoul. If you would rather stay closer to the airport, Songdo and the Incheon waterfront are within a short drive and work well for shorter layovers. Tell us what interests you and we will suggest an itinerary that matches the time you have.
With 8 hours or more, you can reach central Seoul and visit the main palaces, traditional villages, and food streets. With 5 to 7 hours, a shorter tour focused on one or two sites is a better fit. Under 5 hours, we do not recommend leaving the airport.
No. The airport runs its own free transit programs on a fixed schedule with fixed destinations. Ours is a private tour built around your flight times and your interests, with a licensed English-speaking guide and a private vehicle.
Send us your updated flight details and we will adjust the itinerary. If the delay makes the tour impossible, contact us and we will work out the best option together.
Yes for most groups — your bags stay in the vehicle with you. For 7 or more people, airport luggage storage is the better option, and your guide can help arrange it.
Yes. We regularly run shore excursions for cruise passengers and return you to the port on time.
Entry requirements depend on your nationality and your itinerary. Please check your own requirements before booking. We are happy to answer questions about the tour, but we cannot advise on visa eligibility.
This is an 8-9 hour private tour that includes a 2-hour round-trip transfer between Seoul and Incheon Airport. The itinerary and attractions can be changed depending on your flight time. Contact us before you book if you need a custom private tour.

I had an excellent layover tour in Korea and couldn’t have asked for a better guide and driver. He was extremely careful and made the entire trip feel safe and comfortable from start to finish. We covered every stop on the itinerary, and he even accommodated my special request to visit Star Coex Mall, which I really appreciated. His English was excellent, making communication effortless throughout the tour. He was knowledgeable about Korean history, shared interesting facts along the way, and knew all the best places to visit. If you have a layover in Korea and want to make the most of your time, I highly recommend booking a tour with him. Professional, knowledgeable, accommodating, and an outstanding driver. It was truly a memorable experience.

Really incredible time to see this amazing city. Brian picked us up at the airport and brought us all over. Showing us this special city. Telling us about the history. He catered our trip to things we wanted to do as well. It was just so much fun and so much better than sitting in the airport. He brought us back to the airport on top for our connection. Absolutely worth it!

Had a great layover in Seoul. Jin was my guide. She was on time, great communication and felt safe with her traveling throughout town. She took lots of pics. I arrived back to the airport in plenty of time for my flight. Thank you Jin for a wonderful day!

Our guide Janet was amazing. Ready and waiting at airport. Kind and accommodating of our requests. Super knowledgeable. Seoul was great, seeing the old and new close up. Authentic food in market a must and the changing of guard at palace incredible.

We had a 7-hour layover and decided to visit Seoul and few quick sites. Our tour guide, Brian, was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and provided the perfect experience.
Mark S –
This was a private vehicle for just our group and it didn’t disappoint. Jin was our guide and she was amazing, full of energy and information. We had about 10 hours and was able to customize the tour to fit our pace and schedule. We stopped for lunch among the sites and had a true Korean food experience. I would highly recommend this tour and spending your layover or time visiting the sites.

We had a great tour with Joe! We had a shorter layover (7 hours) so it was a bit rushed but we made the most of it and Joe was very flexible with the itinerary. Having more than 7 hours would have been ideal! It was a great opportunity to see a bit of what Seoul has to offer. The palace was great! We loved the beautiful traditional village we got to walk through! It was also wonderful to go to a Korean bakery/cafe and enjoy a traditional Korean meal. We covered a lot! I highly recommend this tour and put in a special plug for tour guide Joe!

Brian was wonderful and so informative!!! He very personable and very accommodating!!! I would highly recommend.

Could be rushed for time if doing tour between arrival & departure from ICN on the same day. We stayed overnight so no problem. Joel met us at Ibis at T2. More than an hour each way between ICN and Seoul. Excellent driving. Enthusiastic knowledge about the palace – a heritage site that Korea is entitled to be proud of (think Beijing Hidden City, smaller and far less crowded, but just as beautiful. Joel took us to a restaurant for lunch and introduced us to Bibimpap (price not included), to the ancient village and the city Temple. We skipped the market. Drove by the Blue House. We hope to visit again.

It’s tailored to the guests available time and that makes it awesome. Billy our tour guide was informative and made sure we have plenty of memories and photos too. He is a good driver and made our tour safe despite the weather. Highly recommended by us.

Brian picked us up from the airport and gave us a great tour. He gave us a lot of insight into the history of Korea. We loved how personal able he was.If we go back to Seoul we would hire him again.
Brian J –
Brian Jeong met us on time at the airport, took us on a great tour of Seoul. He was extremely knowledgeable about Seoul and Korea, he was personable, friendly and a great driver! Made our short visit to Seoul very memorable!
Lorfy D –
We got pick up on time at Incheon terminal 2. Our drivers name is Brian. Speak good English. Very much updated with Korean History and help us understand history and culture of Korea. Took us to where I want to go and always with us all the time. Highly recommended

Brian is a knowledgeable tour guide who grew up in Seoul and knows it inside and out. As travelers on a layover from Hawaii to Thailand we were not prepared for the -4 C weather and he completely changed the itinerary to indoor locations for us. We started with a fascinating tour of the War Museum where Brian gave us an excellent history lesson. He took us to eat delicious ginseng chicken soup and to the Lotte Tower were we got a 360 degree view of Seoul from 555 meters. We learned so much from Brian about historical and modern Korea. It was a wonderful way to spend a layover and highly recommended!

Scheduling was easy to be picked up and dropped off at ICN. Got travel guides contact info the day prior, made meeting at the airport easy. Brian (guide) was on time, knows everything about Korea and sites he shows, wonderful lunch place, and back to the airport in mote than enough time. Highly recommend.
Holton R –
We had a great time on our layover seeing a few of the highlights that Seoul has to offer! We had 10 hours and were at ICN
Urith A –
Brian is so awesome. He catered to our time and priorities to see and experience. We felt safe and we definitely had a great time with our short layover tour of Seoul.

Suni (and sister in law) made this the most pleasant experience! From communication, pick up, information, and overall tour, I would highly recommend this activity if you have a 10+ hour layover in Incheon. All the stops were great and Suni is an excellent and personable tour guide who is very concerned with giving you a great and informative experience. I highly recommend to everyone. Thank you, Suni!

We had a very pleasant and enjoyable trip to Kyoto. Our guide, Rick, was most helpful and had a cheerful manner. The places we visited were interesting despite the crowds of tourists :)
Thank you again for arranging a very pleasant day out for us.
Susan H –
Sophia was a wonderful tour guide. She met us at the airport, communicated ahead of time where to meet, provided an agenda, but was flexible to our needs. We had a great lunch in a traditional Korean restaurant, loved the tour of the Imperial Palace and grounds, experienced the market, had tea at a traditional tea house, just an incredible to spend the day out seeing Seoul instead of sitting at the airport. She was very knowledgeable about Korean history and culture, was a safe driver, her vehicle was very clean and she provided us with cold water for the day. Overall, we were so happy with our tour with Sophia and it was a great way for us to celebrate a birthday.

The Temple is amazing. The palaces are beautiful and it has an interesting stories. Our tour guide Brian is amazing. Thank you Brian.
Mayumi H –
Taylor, our guide for just two of us, arrived 10minutes before the scheduled time. He greeted us at the airport and took us to his car right away to get to the first destination of the tour. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. He even accommodated our request to meet a friend of our friend at the last minute for lunch. He picked a spot where it was easy for us to meet. When this friend wanted to take us to a Thai restaurant, he suggested Korean BBQ politely pointing out that our first experience in South Korea should be a Korean food! He was right. We enjoyed the food and the experience of Korean BBQ. He knew exactly how long to spend at each location. He dropped us off back at the airport as scheduled. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. It was a very good private tour. We have had a private tour of Scotland a couple of years ago but there is no comparison. Taylor tops it. Thank you!!!

On short ntice, Janet did an incredible job of converting an unexpected 10 hour layover in Incheon (NOT Seoul, which is her norm) into a lifetime memory of pleasure and enchantment. Within a few short hours, she deftly transported us to historic Seoul, contrasting with the modern world of “Gangnam style,” with which we shared a laugh. Not enough to simply drop us at the renowned Gyeongbokgung Palace, she strolled us through each gate and building on the site, pointing out the historic details hidden in the architecture. By the time she returned us to the Incheon terminal 2, she had taught us to love the culture, history, and cuisine of her home.
Stefanie R –
Brian was amazing! We were so tired from layover but he had a perfect blend of activities to keep us going until next flight!! Loved just walking around the town and shopping!!
Michael H –
Great tour of city. The meet up was easy. Our guide Suni was wonderful. She made sure to get us back to airport right in time. Suni shared not only info on sights but also on culture which made the tour perfect. Incheon Airport is 60 to 90 min away from Seoul depending on traffic.

Bryan was incredible! We had a very short and difficult time table and he delivered! Korea is such an impressive nation and the sites were wonderful. Communicating with the company was easy and they really catered to our needs.
Erica S –
This was an amazing tour! Brian picked us up as soon as we landed and was easy to find. Gave us a great history background as we drove round seeing all the different sights. He was also a great guide through the sights as well. First time we had been to South Korea and being pushed for time before a conference we certainly got to see a lot.
Corina G –
It was a pleasure to spend the day in Seoul with Brian. He was very curteous and knowledgeable and his English was superb.
Sarah L –
This tour was amazing- a great way to spend a layover in Seoul. Jonathan showed us all of the highlights and shared a lot of historical information. We had a lovely lunch, visited the temple, palace, old village, shopping “hipster” areas, etc. This is absolutely worth it if you are considering it. So easy to meet him at the airport and the entire day was wonderful.
Phillip S –
We really enjoyed our quick visit to South Korea. We really appreciated our guide Jonathon who adjusted our tour as he picked up on our interests in history and culture.
Lisa M –
We had full day to do this tour. Jonathan picked us up at an Incheon hotel and braved the Seoul traffic to get us to the Royal Palace where we arrived in time to see a changing of the guards. Then we began to walk the palace grounds which took at least an hour. Because it was very cold, we decided to go to two museums in walking distance, a art/culture museum and a handicrafts exhibit hall. Both were very well done with excellent English translations that helped us gain a better understanding of Korean history and art. Afterwards we walked a street lined with artisan and clothing shops where we picked up a few handmade items. Then we faced return traffic again back to our hotel. Jonathan was a great guide. Highly recommended.

Bryant’s tour in Seoul was exceptional! His extensive knowledge and friendly demeanor made exploring every corner of Seoul a fantastic experience. Thank you for an unforgettable tour!

Brian, our guide was great. He provided a lot of cultural background information and adapted the tour to our schedule and interests. This was a great opportunity to have a glimpse of a city / culture that i would recommend to everyone having a long stayover in Incheon!
Edgar C –
The tour guide was very nice, attentive. We had a very good time. He was on time. We all like the places where we went, and it’s a very nice country.
Alex D –
Brian was wonderful and tailored the tour for exactly what we requested and timed the tour perfectly

This tour was great! My mom and I got in at 5am and when we arrived, I already had a message from our tour guide, Eric, telling us he was here and was waiting whenever we were ready. After a quick change of clothes, we met Eric. Since the currency exchange wasn’t open until 6:30am, Eric waited until we were set and then took off for Seoul. On the way, Eric was amazing telling us all about the history and cultural aspects of Korea. We arrived at the palace and Eric took care of everything, walking us through the palace and giving us our own personal tour. After the palace, we went exploring. I love how I was able to tailor the tour to what we wanted to do. Eric was also available to translate for us at the market, but also asked if we wanted to explore on our own and we met at a certain time. We were able to do everything we wanted in an eight hour tour. I highly recommend this tour!

The airport layover tour is fabulous! Our tour guide Jay was waiting for us when we arrived and worked hard to make sure we had a wonderful time. He was attentive to the slightest detail and we had a great time! The tour is flexible so that you can see what you want to and gives you a great experience in Seoul. Highly recommended!

We ( My daughter, sister and I) had 8 Hr layover tour in Seoul on 5/10/2019. I contacted Yan Wong ( One Day Korea agent) and told her what I wanted to do in Seoul and she presented me with a wonderful itenerary. Yan Wong is a wonderful agent, very helpful, friendly, she responded very quickly and she gave me confidence that I made the right choice by choosing One Day Korea. We did Gyeongbokgung Palace, Buckchon Hanok Village , Seoul Tower, Pass by the Presidential Blue House and Gwangjang Market. We LOVE everything we did and we had A WONDERFUL time! Our guide Justin Is AWESOME! We LOVE Justin cause he made us feel save ( so protective ) comfortable, has so much knowledge, friendly, helpful and a good photographer. I would recommend One Day Korea to everybody. This Travel agent is so reliable, trustworthy and the most important they make you feel “ Save”.

I have used this company 2 times in the past 2 years for a tour day during a layover in Seoul with both my daughter and husband. We had the best experiences both days, and saw so much in a day on both trips. The guides are kind, courteous and very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Korea, including the Korean War, and made the day so worthwhile and memorable. They will also tailor a trip to your group’s interests, age and timeframes. Thank you for 2 great trips and the lovely photos!

This was a great tour to get to know the best of Seoul in one day.
We had 12 hours layover and we chose to take this tour given the flexibility with the time and the fact they can customize the tour to your interests. We ended up taking the 6 hour tour to account for transportation from the aiport and back.
Our tour guide was Jay, very knowledgeable and very nice all around person. He was very flexible with the schedule; and was very realistic with what we could accomplish during the tour. We ended up very happy with what we did and were able to have a taste of Korean culture for a day.
The choice for restaurant was spot on, with great food, fast service and traditional, very tasty Korean food.

We had 24 hours in Seoul because of airport connections, and wanted to maximize our time. We had Jonathan take us around the city. Saw the high spots (literally the Seoul Tower) as well as markets, temples and old neighborhoods. Other than being 20 degrees F (it was winter) and windy, it was a great day.
Eitan P –
My friend and I had a one day layover in Seoul. Our One Day Korea guide, Smith, provided us with a great tour of the city and was extremely knowledgeable about the city sites and history. It would not have been possible to pack in so many sites without the tour service. I would recommend One Day Korea to others traveling in Korea.
Ed N –
Our guide, Bryan, who spoke very good English, worked very hard to meet our needs and requests. Our driving was filled with cultural exchange conversation . . . nice! He got us to and from the Incheon cruise port on time into Seoul which is critical to cruise touring . . . can’t miss that ship. He also accommodated our request to recommend a very good local food for lunch which was excellent. We sadly got rained out for the Palace and Changing of the Guard (obviously not his fault), but we visited National Museum as backup which was a stellar facility. I do not want to leave out the office folks (Yan) who worked out the advance touring details with great experience and expertise well before our actual visit. Yan made this easy for us too! I do not say this often, but would give this company a 6 over a 5 if that was an option.

We only had about 8 hours in Seoul and one day Korea helped us to make the most of it.
Terry was picked up right on time by the van and we had a good range of cultural visits in Seoul, we will never forget this trip. Highly recommended.
