Description

Hanbok is a traditional Korean dress. It literally means “Korean clothing”. Hanbok has a history of over 1,600 years, and it was worn daily up until just 100 years ago. It was established as a part of the unique living culture of Korea. Nowadays, Hanbok is only worn during traditional festivals and celebrations.

Hanbok is famous for its artistic lines and vibrant colors. Also, many travelers want to experience wearing a Hanbok during their visit to Korea. With our Hanbok Photo Shoot Tour, you can wear it inside the Korean Royal Palace, Hanok Village, or another destination instead of a studio. This is a double benefit because you can visit beautiful destinations wearing Hanbok.

We offer professional Hanbok Photo Shoot services and a wide variety of Hanbok in different sizes: male (S~XL), female (XS~XXL), and children’s sizes are available.

You can choose your favorite Hanbok and also the photo shooting location. There are special benefits too, like free entrance to the Royal Palace!

We engaged Jay for a 3 hours hanbok photoshoot at Gyeongbokgung and had the best experience ever. From the point of meeting him onwards, he was great in making us feel comfortable. Very fluent English speaker with a sense of humour. Personally I’m not a fan of photo shoots but this photoshoot process proved to be fun and tireless with beautiful photos ready and sent to us in under 2 days!!! I would definitely recommend the package to anyone who would want to capture beautiful moments of them and family in hanbok. Jay is your best photographer/guide to go to.

  2. Soniang –

We booked a photo tour via oneday korea. Highly recommended!! Jay is our photographer and took amazing photos! He knows how to capture my boy’s facial expression. He is very nice, friendly and professional! my boy likes him a lot 🙂 Thank you Jay for giving us wonderful photos! we will for sure to come back again!

Booked the hanbok rental and photo tour. My kids first time in Seoul and wanted it to be a memorable experience. Our tourguide/photographer Jay met us at the subway exit and we were maybe 15 minutes early and he was already there waiting. Walked to the hanbok rental shop a few blocks away and Jay advised us on what colors would show up best, and I could say he was so easy to talk to and my kids were comfortable with him. He knew all the spots that would showcase the beautiful hanboks and the sites to see. He was also very patient as the youngest kid was starting to get a little cranky. We walked to Gyeokbukgung palace and Bukchon village and although we were a little sweaty, the flaring hanbok skirts were so pretty. Jay really cared about us, he did frequent rest periods since the kids were starting to look tired. Had a lot of pictures to choose from at the end of the day and ALL pictures are emailed. I received mine that very same night. Some suggestions, pay the extra $5 for the hair accessories, for the guys, please get the gentleman hat, it would complete the look. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Book the tour, don the hanboks and feel like a pretty agasshi, ahjussi, flirty gisaeng and even royalty for a few hours and have it immortalized in pictures.

  4. TotalPengwen –

Very good, would recommend. Having a local guide and photographer for the Hanbok photo helped to improve the experience. Even uploaded our photos again 9 months later after my hardrive broke.

Before heading to Seoul, we had a plan that we were going to make this trip a sweet memorable one as we were going to travel there with our two daughters (5y.o. and 3y.o.) and that would be their first experience going abroad. To make it happen, we were considering to take Hanbok Photoshoot Tour. We contacted some tour agency who offered that type of tour and then decided to go with OnedayKorea as they were so fast in giving the respond and suggestion.

  6. Kristy L –

We booked a hanbok photoshoot tour with Oneday Korea through Viator. James was our tour guide/driver/photographer. We had so much fun on this tour and learned a lot of interesting about the area we visited. James picked us up from our Airbnb and took us to the hanbok rental place so we can pick out our outfit. You can add other accessories like shoes, hat, and hair styling for really cheap (about $3-$7). He then took us to Gyeongbokgung palace and Bukchon Hanok village to walk around and take pictures. James was one of the best English speaking tour guides we had on our trip. He also has a lot of good recommendations for food and places to visit. Definitely recommend Oneday Korea and this tour to anyone 🙂

  7. Mei C –

We had a three day tour in Seoul with our photographer/ tour guide James woo Jung Jin. ( he is really handsome and a very professional photographer too!) me and my girls had lots of fun and a really great photo-shoot on the way in our 3 day private trip in Seoul and the results are amazing. Overall loved it very much and would definitely come back again!!

  8. Ling Ling L –

The booking was easy in the initial. On the day of the shoot/tour, our group of 6 seniors had an amazing time with James Jin (Photographer) and Jonathan. We were first chauffeured to the hanbok rental. The hanboks were really delicately made and very pretty and our dresser was professional and fast. After that was a short walk to the palace for the shoot. Noting the constraints of the seniors, James was considerate and extremely patient. He accommodated our walking pace and ensured our comfort. He charmed the seniors with his thoughtfulness and banter while he clicked away with his cameras. His explanations of the history and customs of the day integrated us into the entire atmosphere of the beautiful palace. And Jonathan fitted right in like family. Thank God for James and Jonathan! We will not forget this awesome Spring. And, thank you again, James and Jonathan for the wonderful memories and photos. Our only regret was that the cherry blossoms refused to bloom before their time even though they were cajoled by rather warm weather.

  9. IIIah D –

Mr James Jin was our photographer for the day and he was extremely a nice and kind man. Though his role was supposedly a photographer, he acted on as a role of a tour guide as we walked from one place to another to get our photos taken.
My husband and i are usually camera shy and awkward when it comes to posing, but the photos turns out great. He made us feel comfortable enough and made sure we were ok throughout the shooting.
I would strongly recommend those newly wed couple (like us) who wants to get another set of wedding photos taken in Korea to book through OneDayKorea with Mr James Jin.

My family took a hanbok photo shooting tour from one day korea.

i highly recommend onedaykorea ,i had a wonderful tour! Brian was an informative very kind and caring tour guide,he helped me what to do after the tour which was very helpful for me.Brian can also speak a little japanese and tagalog all in all it was a memorable, fantastic tour.

  12. jorellie –

I booked the (4 Hours tour with private vehicle+Advanced digital camera) for our group of 8. Jonathan and Bryan was prompt in picking us up at the hotel. We first went to the Hanbok Rental Shop, and we were able to choose from a wide variety of Hanbok. There were extra charges for the hat, shoes, handbag and hair styling but very minimal. It was very cold, and we had to walk from the rental shop to the Gyeongbokgung Palace. I guess the only difference of this tour compared to the walking tour is that you have a hotel pick-up and drop-off.

  13. ck_siubo –

A special thank you to our photographer and guide Jonathan, for taking such beautiful photos for us!!! Our first experience to visit Gyeongbokgung in Hanbok and the snow just makes it more romantic and fun!!! Jonathan was very professional and he took us to all the great spots and gave us some historical background of each location. We received the photos on the same evening and they were simply stunning!!! Would highly recommend Jonathan and this tour to anyone who would like to create a memorable experience in Seoul.

  14. medilynx –

Our photographer, Brian, was very friendly and patient. He choose good spots with less people and speaks English well. Allow us to use our creativity when taking photos. Enjoyed the session! Thanks!

  15. hanhkimtuong –

I booked this tour for me and my daughter, as we wanted to experience wearing a Hanbok. I recommend this tour as the photos are quite professional and Jonathan our tour guide was amazing and spoke English well! We went to Gyeongbokgung palace and Buchon Hanok Village to take pictures and He was very knowledgeable and knew the perfect places to take pictures. Additionally, he taught us some history about the locations along the way and was very friendly. He also sent the pictures within the same day and they came out beautifully. I was also worried I would not be able to see the guard ceremony, but he allowed us to watch the ceremony at the beginning of our photoshoot. If you’re looking to wear a Hanbok within South Korea then I recommend you do this photoshoot so you can experience Korean culture and have the photos as memories. I would like to thank Jonathan for a lovely day and for the photos. Also, for anyone who is looking to do this tour I recommend Jonathan as the photographer as he was phenomonal.

  22. Penny W –

My friends and I (total of 10 persons) joined a one day tour with OneDayKorea to Damyang on 5 Nov.In addition, 7 of us went on a half day “Hanbok Photo shoot Tour” the following day. It had been a great experience from start to end. Prior to the tour, our queries were answered promptly and patiently by Yan who also provided very clear and detailed information.
During the tour on both days, we were most lucky to have Duke as our Guide and Photographer. He took great care of us during the entire trip and was very professional too. We visited Jeonju (as suggested by Duke) and had such a fun & great time there. (We did not regret following Duke’s suggestion!)
The scenery in Damyang especially the Metasequoia Road is exceptionally beautiful during Autumn so, don’t forget to bring the camera.
The Hanbok Photo Shoot Tour had been the most wonderful experience for us, too. We were all fully dressed in Hanbok and visited the Palaces (Deoseokgung and Changdeokgung) to have our photos taken by Duke. (And the photos turned out really nice.)
For those planning to visit these places, it is advisable to put on comfortable walking shoes as there is a lot of walking to do.
All of us had such fond and wonderful memories of Damyang, Jeonju and the Hanbok photo shoot tours because of such a great team at One Day Korea.Thank you to Duke and Yan who made our “Dream Tours” possible.

  23. Zeno A –

We booked two tours with them and the management and the price-value ratio was very good. The guides – in both cases – were very nice, kind, and professional. A plus, that it was a private tour.
